Awards and Recognition
It would be hard press to keep up with the awards and recognition"s of our name sake "Emma Zen" the dog. The numerous letters of acknowledgement from fire stations who have been recipients of Pet Oxygen Masks is now a binder of recognition. While each and every thank you is a gift unto itself, this organization is most proud of the two nominations. What makes them honorable are the caliber of people who placed the nominations, both did so discreetly and without our knowledge. We are so extremely proud of being so respected by such honorable members of both the pet and fire related industries. We "thank them" for their trust. It is a privilege to be held in such esteem by each of the following nominators.

In June of 2014 an email notified us that our President Debra Jo Chiapuzio had been nominated to be "Women of the Year", with the Women in the Pet Industry Network! Secretly nominated by Denise Fleck of Sunny-Dog Ink. I began to cry. Denise is a Pet First Aid & CPR instructor, the only teacher of Animal Care in the Los Angeles School system! She is an author of Pet Care Books and a member of our board. That in itself is honor enough. Her believe in our President is such that she even nominated her in the same category as herself! It is a humbling experience to be equal to someone to whom you hold so much respect.

UPDATE: As of July 13th, 2014 Our President Debra Jo Chiapuzio became one of the top Women in the Pet Industry. She is one of the top 5 finalist in the category "advocate". This has been a personal achievement for her as since she was a child she was always the first one to speak on behalf of a pet! To be honored and recognize for her efforts is a sense of self accomplishment. "Thank You" to the Women in the Pet Industry Network for allowing her to take a look at herself and like what she sees!
UPDATE: On July 13th we were notified of becoming became one of the top 25 finalist. We would like to thank Women in the Pet Industry Network for their vote in our president in the field of entrepreneur!

The CNN Hero of the Year Award is a quest to find everyday people changing the world. It was a feeling of personal accomplishment to be considered as such in 2013, but what really humbled me was who did the nominating. Chief Bill Metcalf of North County Fire Protection District in San Diego CA. A man I admire and respect, who also was that year's President and Chair of Board of the International Association of Fire Chiefs. Yep the President of IAFC believes we are Hero's everyday for the level of pet protection we have brought to Fire Departments. Having this level of respect is the biggest win we could receive.
